🐘 Fiat Stilo 1.6 16V Engine Fault

Hi, I own a 2003 1.6 petrol Stilo and for some reason when I drive it on the motorway the engine management light flashes and beeps. Sometimes it does it 2,3,5,8,10 etc times in a row, but never stays on and other times when on the motorway it never comes on at all??? Have taken it to my local Very common. Then again the engine did cut through a wire attached to a sensor on the gearbox. OP.
